Palpation is a very important aspect of massage therapy. If a therapist is uncertain of the tissue they are palpating they may not choose the appropriate and effective technique to address tissue dysfunction. This 4-hour class is designed to increase the palpation skill of the therapist so they can make and educated decision about how to treat the tissue. Palpating skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia and muscle are some of the tissues that are assessed. Trigger points, adhesions and fibrotic tissue are also palpated.
